Barranquilla Carnival goes to Chile

Fans will have a second chance to take part in Barranquilla Carnival celebrations this year… if they happen to be in Chile that is.

The owners of the Colombiana restaurant in Chile’s capital Santiago will host their own third annual Colombian carnival, in an attempt to recreate the fun and excitement of the Barranquilla’s traditional celebration.

Starting on February 28 with the presentation of the Carnival Queens and culminating on March 7 with a full-blown imitation of the real event – with music, dancing and parades – the restaurant’s Colombian owners promise an authentic Barranquilla carnival experience at their week-long event.

The celebration is set to draw crowds of Chileans looking to find a genuine Colombian carnival experience.
