Bancolombia appoints new CEO

Bancolombia SA, Colombia’s largest bank, has appointed Carlos Yepes Jimenez as chief executive officer, the bank said in a statement Friday.

Yepes will replace Jorge Londono, who announced earlier in the year that he was voluntarily stepping down after nearly 15 years as head of the bank. Londono is slated to leave his post in February next year.

Yepes has served on the board of directors for Grupo Bancolombia and as legal vice president for Cementos Argos S.A., the country’s largest cement maker.

The U.S.-traded shares of Bancolombia declined 2.41% to $60.85 midday.
