Authorities seizes US$4.2 million in San Andres

Colombian authorities Sunday seized more than US$4.2 million on a boat
in the Caribbean near San Andres. The money is thought to be of drug
traffickers.

In a joint operation of the police, the DAS and the Coast Guard, authorities ordered two suspected men on a boat to stop for a routine control. When inspecting the boat, the officers discovered eight packages containing in total US$4.2 million.

The money was handed over to the police, newspaper El Espectador reported.
