Authorities seize over $400,000 in false dollar bills

Colombian authorities seized $404,400 in counterfeit dollar bills close the the presidential palace in Bogota, several media reported Monday.

According to the reports, agents from intelligence agency DAS laid siege to a house where they found a counterfeit money factory with lithographic machinery, lithography plates, ink and paper used to produce the fake money.

One suspect was arrested in “Operation White House.”

According to the DAS, it has seized $15 million in false dollars so far this year.
