Authorities lose seized US$22 million in cash

Colombian authorities announced they have lost 22 million dollars in cash that they had seized little over a week ago.

The money was stashed in two containers and seized on September 14. After the discovery, the containers were taken to a privately-owned secured storage in Cartagena.

Despite round-the-clock security, the containers disappeared and none of the 48 security cameras for mysterious reasons had been able to record the theft.

Authorities are investigating the disappearance of the money.
