Colombian singer, actress and aspiring member of Senate Aura Cristina Geithner received thousands of dollars-worth of gifts from the opposition Liberal Party, according to Colombian media.
Gossip magazine Sweet reports that Geithner received a latest-model car with chauffeur and bodyguard from the political party.
The Colombian star announced earlier this year that she was considering standing as a candidate for the party, despite never having spoken publicly about any political issue before.
The actress’s popularity with the Liberal Party is evident, but we will have to wait until March’s elections to see if this sentiment is shared by the public.
