Aura Cristina Geithner restores faith in Colombian politics

Colombian singer and actress Aura Cristina Geithner is considering running for Senate in the March elections, local media reported on Tuesday.

Although Geithner is not known to ever have spoken out in public about any political issues, she is allegedly considering standing for the opposition Liberal Party, gossip website La Fiscalia reported on Tuesday.

Geithner is not the only famous Colombian to consider a switch to the exciting world of Colombian politics; sports presenters Javier Hernandez and Nicolas Montero and former “Miss Colombia” Vanessa Mendoza are already preparing to run for the Senate.

The actress / singer may need the generous monthly payslip received by Colombian senators, after she losing her house due to financial difficulties.
