Attorney General to investigate ties between military and drug lord

Colombia’s Attorney General says he will investigate if Colombia’s
armed forces in Villavicensio are protecting drug lord Daniel ‘El Loco’
Barrera, something President Álvaro Uribe Thursday insinuated.

Attorney General Edgardo Maya Villazón announced the investigation after meeting with Interior and Justice minister Fabio Valencia Cossio Friday, El Espectador reported.
