“Attorney General seeks suspension of minister”

According to the radio station,  the Attorney General will ask for the suspension some time this Friday.

Palacio and Pretelt De La Vega were mentioned by Medina as the ones who offered her political favours if she agreed with a constitutional change needed in 2004 to make it possible for President Uribe to run for a second term in 2006.

The former congresswoman was convicted to 3,5 years house arrest. The prosecution is has statred a criminal investigation against several (former) members of the Uribe administration for their alleged part in the bribery.
