The boss of Spanish soccer side Atletico Madrid on Thursday denied having said that striker Radamel Falcao signed “something” with city rivals Real Madrid.
According to director Enrique Cerezo, Colombian radio station Caracol Radio told a “lie” when claiming the soccer executive had said the Colombian soccer star had “signed something with Real Madrid a while ago.”
“It is completely false that Falcao has a deal with Real Madrid,” Cerezo told Spanish media, adding that the rumors “attempt to destabilize” Falcao and his current team.
Falcao joined Atletico Madrid in 2011 and is considered Colombia’s best player.
