At least 15 wounded in Medellín grenade attack

At least fifteen people were injured when a grenade was thrown into a shop in the center of Medellín Sunday morning.

“Apparently a person threw a grenade into the shop that sells spare parts for motorcycles. The people were severely injured. Others suffered minor injuries. All were taken to medical centers,” a Police spokesman said.

The attack took place just before 3AM Sunday morning on the corner of Carabobo, an important shopping street with La Paz. The number of casualties was relatively high, because the shop was open for a special discount on helmets.
