Assassins kill seven near Cauca village

Seven people were assassinated in the south western Colombian department of Cauca, the department’s ombudsman said Monday.

According to the department’s ombudsman Victor Meléndez, over the past few days seven people living in the rural parts of the Balboa municipality were murdered by unknown assassins.

Neighbors of the victims told local authorities the murders were taking place.

Investigators of the Prosecution have been sent to the area to remove the bodies and investigate who murdered the people and why.
