Colombian authorities discovered notebooks containing FARC leader “El Paisa’s” plans for terrorist attacks on politicians, following the air force bombardment of a guerrilla camp located deep in the jungle in the southern Caqueta department.
Teofilo Forero front leader “El Paisa” left the notebooks behind when he fled the FARC camp, and is thought to have been wounded in the attack. He is still at large.
“You have no idea the amount of evidence and the amount of information that we obtained when we arrived at the camp, [information on] attempts on the lives of ministers, members of the armed forces, kidnapped politicians and extortions that have happened,” Defense Minister Gabriel Silva told the Colombian press.
Silva said that another leader from the same front, alias “Leyder” had been captured.
