Army seizes FARC war materials

The Colombian Army has seized war materials, uniforms and drug making paraphernalia in the continued fight against FARC guerrillas in the Guaviare department, newspaper El Espectador reported on Saturday.

The army’s 22nd jungle brigade have recorded advances during heavy fighting against the FARC’s first block around the town of Calamar.

The army reportedly seized a number of rifles, ammunition, grenades, dynamite, communication equipment and uniforms belonging to the army from the FARC site.

A large amount of chemicals and machinery used in the production of drugs were also seized.
