Army helicopter crashes near Venezuelan border

A Colombian Army supply helicopter crashed in municipality of Maicao in the far northern state of Guajira near the Venezuelan border, leaving no victims.

According to the military report, the medium sized UH-1N helicopter, crashed after experiencing “strong gusts from cross winds.” The helicopter was engaged in army supply missions at the time of the crash.

The army report did not specify how many persons were operating the craft at the time of the accident, but in any case, there were no victims.
