Army finds 3 ‘FARC’ weapon supply centers

The Colombian army has found three alleged FARC weapon and equipment supply centers in a rural area of the Vichada department, east Colombia, El Espectador reported on Thursday.

Rifles, communication equipment, ammunition, a chainsaw and uniforms were seized, among other things. The equipment is alleged to belong to the “Oliverio Ricon” block of the FARC.

The operation culminated after days of intelligence work in the area and is a major blow to the financial structure of the guerrilla group the armed forces said.

Soldiers also confiscated 790 gallons of fuel ready to be distributed illegally in the Cumaribo municipality.
