From Venezuela to Bogotá in seven hours

A new highway connecting Venezuela with Colombia’s capital Bogotá will reduce travel time along the commercially important route to just seven hours,
the Colombian government announced Tuesday.

The US$1.7 billion project will start in 2010 and will be finished in 2018, Transport Minister Andres Uriel Gallego.

The road is designed to stimulate the trade between Colombia and its main trade partner Venezuela.
