Two die in Cauca ambulance attack

A 17-year-old boy and his mother were killed after they were forced to leave the ambulance that was driving them in the south Colombian Cauca department on Monday.

According to local police sources, unknown men forced the ambulance to stop after which they made the male patient and his mother leave the vehicle.

The boy was shot, and his mother was beaten and then thrown into a ravine.

Police say they have no clues about the motive for the murders.

The region where the incident took place has a high presence of illegal armed groups.
