Spielberg turns down Colombian sweetheart Paola Turbay

Directing giant Stephen Spielberg has turned down Colombia’s former beauty queen and newest Hollywood wannabe Paola Turbay in his new TV series for being “too beautiful,” according to Colombian gossip site Sweet.

Turbay, still riding high on being crowned Miss Colombia 21 years ago, was allegedly in casting talks to play the role of a doctor in Spielberg’s new TV series, when the director reportedly decided she was too beautiful to play the character.

Interestingly, Turbay found no such resistance in being cast as a local hairdresser in her first feature film “Mama, eat the soup” (“Mama tomate la sopa”), released in Colombian late last year.
