Just six months after releasing her international best-selling album “She Wolf,” Colombian superstar Shakira reveals that she is working on an “edgy” new album, reports website Rap-up.com.
Despite her increasingly busy schedule, with several concerts booked for the coming months, the hard-working singer was back in studio earlier this month.
And she was not alone. Joined by big-name producer Jim Jonsin – who has worked in the past with T.I. and Beyonce – and songwriter Rico Love, the Latin lady is said to be putting a new groove into her coming album.
After two sessions with the Colombian musician, Rico described the new sound as “more pop, edgy.”
“She wanted to really dance on this record and do what made her famous in America, a ‘Whenever, Wherever’-type vibe,” he revealed.
Rico went on to say that working with the hip-shaker was always a pleasure, never a chore.
“She’s really a sweetheart. We got along really good,” gushed Rico. “She understands what she wants, she knows her strong points, and she demands that.”
Shakira has not yet revealed when she expects to release the new album.
