Members of the coalition of political parties supporting Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos reelection campaign blame the president’s campaign manager for being inefficient and abusing of his power, newspaper El Espectador reported Wednesday.

“There isn’t any campaign, there isn’t any publicity and they don’t take us into account and they don’t need us,” complained members of the coalition to the newspaper. The members also accused Prieto of abuse of power and mistreating political allies of the president.

“He mistreated the governing team of various regional authorities,” congressmen reportedly said.

Members of coalition also said Prieto fails to organize campaign tours, making it impossible for lawmakers to endorse the president before their constituency.

Prieto responded to the accusations and denied all claims of his inefficiency and abuse of power.

“We are very confident with the job we are doing and we believe we are going to win in the first round as well as in the second, if there will be any,” Prieto told RCN Radio.
