Police seized 16 tons of marijuana in July

Colombian authorities say they seized almost 16 tons of marijuana in
July in a special counternarcotics operation called ‘Patria uno’.

According to the press release, the police found the drugs in vans, agricultural and private vehicles, public transportation and even in bicycles. The largest amounts were seized in Caloto and Guapi (Cauca department), in Baranoa (Atlantico department) and in Cali.

The operation ‘Patria uno’ led to the arrest of 64 suspects.
