Plane crash leaves at least 2 dead

Colombian civil aviation authorities announced that at least two people have died in a plane crash in Aguazul, in the country’s south-east Casanare department.

The HK-4429 registration twin engine aircraft reportedly crashed while flying between the eastern city of Bucaramanga and Puerto Gaitan in the Meta department.

Civil aviation authorities have sent a rescue helicopter to find the crashed plane and to see if any more people were hurt in the accident, as the aircraft left Bucaramanga with six people on board.

Authorities are expected to provide more information on the crash when more details come to light.
