Partido de la U and Cambio Radical to seek one presidential candidate

Colombian coalition parties Partido de la U and Cambio Radical have
agreed to jointly present one candidate for the 2010 presidential
elections.

The agreement between the two parties follow President Álvaro Uribe’s call on the coalition to unitedly bring forth one candidate, so he can step down in 2010 and assume re-election in 2014.

The parties have no agreed on an internal selection of a candidate.
