Louisiana park with missing Cali man partially shut down

Louisiana authorities have partially shut down the park in which a Cali university director went missing Saturday, as the search for the missing man continues, Caracol Radio reported Tuesday.

Carol Clark, the park superintendent, said that a team of approximately 35 people is continuing the search for Francisco Piedrahita, the director of Icesi University who went missing after entering the Jean Lafitte National Historic Park and Reserve, near New Orleans, over the weekend.

The superintendent said that the director is being searched for particularly in the marshy area of the wildlife park, and that section of the park has been closed off to the public while the search continues.

According to Clark, Piedrahita is being searched for within a perimeter of nearly 5,000 acres of the park, which encompasses a total of over 50,000 acres.
