Panama has no evidence to prove money laundering: Freddy Rincon

Former Colombian soccer player, Freddy Rincon, has claimed that there is no evidence against him to justify the international warrant for his arrest that was issued by Interpol, local media reported Tuesday.

“There is no evidence against me. The truth is I don’t know where this new issue appeared from.  I have a lawyer in Panama who is going to talk to the judge,” said Rincon.

He also expressed surprise at INTERPOL’s arrest warrant, which was issued on Monday, claiming that he is waiting on a final court hearing scheduled for April in Panama.

The soccer star is wanted in Panama on charges of money laundering.
