Oil pipeline bombed in northern Colombia

Colombian authorities said Friday FARC attack on oil pipeline in northern Colombia.

A preliminary police report said that the FARC’s 33rd Front was responsible for the bombing of the a section of the Petronorte oil piple line in town of Catatumbo in the Norte de Santander department this Friday.

The Colombian army has been dispatched to assist workers with the oil spill and the repair of the pipeline’s infrastructure.

There have been over 30 FARC attacks in the northeast Catatumbo region since the beginning of 2012.
