No translator; Israeli sex crime suspects released

The Israelis that were arrested Monday on suspicion of taking
drugs and soliciting sex from minors were released because Cartagena
authorities forgot to find a translator.

Earlier reports spoke of eleven suspects, but Caracol Radio Tuesday reported that the three Israelis were caught during ‘Operation Dignity’ in a luxury house in the walled city with a large amount of narcotics and a 13-year old girl, who was thought to be a prostitute.

The Israelis were arraigned almost immediately after their release when the judge ordered their immediate release, because the authorities forgot to arrange a translator.

It’s not known whether the Israelis are free to leave the country.
