Full Mono Jojoy video released

Almost an hour of previously unseen footage of FARC leader “Jorge Briceño” has been released on Reporte Virtual’s website.

The Colombian authorities had previously released only 18 minutes of the video, which it made public in July. It shows Briceño, also known as “Mono Jojoy”, making a speech to FARC members in a jungle camp, in which he confirms the rebel group’s support for Ecuadorean president Rafael Correa.

The new footage also shows Mono Jojoy discussing the state of the FARC following the death of “Raul Reyes” and “Ivan Rios,” both senior members of FARC, and the impact of Uribe’s campaign against the group.

The website has also published a document written by FARC founder “Manuel Marulanda” shortly before his death, and emails from Raul Reyes’ computer, both previously unseen.
