Movistar ordered to pay Tigo $5.9M

A judge ordered the company Movistar to pay Tigo $5.9 million (COP11 billion) for a breach of contract between the two Colombian telecommunications companies.

According to a report from newspaper RCN Radio Friday, the mobile phone company Movistar did not follow through with an agreement made with Tigo in 2007.

Representatives for Movistar said they would review the ruling for any opportunities to appeal, reports newspaper El Espectador.
