More than 215,000 victims of rains, floods and landslides

Heavy rainfall followed by floods and landslides have killed five and
forced 215,000 Colombians to leave their homes since the rainy
season started mid September, authorities say.

According to the Disaster Prevention and Response Center, 42,991 families are victim of the rainy weather, 19 people were injured, five were killed and two are still missing. 118 houses were destroyed and another 17,173 severely damaged.

The rain led to 134 emergencies in 117 Colombian municipalities, the center says.

According to Colombian meteorologists, the current rainy season wwill last until mid December.
