Defense Minister Rodrigo Rivera announced that not all information recovered from the computers will be revealed to the public, due to its high sensitivity. He told Congress that “there is a lot of information that can be used as evidence in legal investigations.” Once useful information has been found, Colombian authorities will pass it on to the country’s inspector general.
Leftist news agency Anncol reported earlier Tuesday that the guerrillas did not leave any computer drives in the camp, claiming that those recovered were planted by the Colombian military, and that the FARC uses an encrypted system which is impossible to decipher.
