Miss Valle officially re-enters Miss Colombia beauty pageant

The Miss Colombia 2009 contestant who was kicked out for gaining weight was officially reinstated into the competition on Friday while her replacement will remain as a guest.

Diana Salgado, respresenting the department of la Valle, was forced out of the national beauty pageant, Combelleza, in October on the grounds that she had gained 5 kilograms.

Salgado was replaced as Miss Valle by Catalina Robayo. However, due to her unlawful dismissal Salgado took legal action against Combelleza and on Thursday it was announced that she had won her battle and could re-enter the pageant.

The result means that Salgado will be officially reinstated as a participant in the competition and her replacement until today, Robayo, will be allowed to remain as a guest but not compete in any of the activities, reported newspaper El Tiempo.

Salgado is expected to arrive in the city of Cartagena on Friday afternoon, where the final competition will take place. If she does not arrive however, there will be no Miss Valle competitor because Robayo has now been removed from the official runnings.
