The summit of the IADB, an international organization created to promote economic and social development in Latin America and the Carribean, will run from the March 27 to 31.
Former U.S President Bill Clinton, current U.S Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner, former President of the IADB Enrique Iglesias, and Colombia President Álavaro Uribe will be among the attending delegates.
2700 police to have been deployed as reinforcements for the 6000 metropolitan police already in force. Two helicopters and an airplane will also be at the police’s disposal.

Cáceres told Radio Caracol that the first phase of security measures for the summit were in place and that the city was ready for the arrival of the delegates.
