Kid gets driving lesson in bus full of passengers

A  bus driver in the north of Colombia had the genius idea of teaching his kid to drive on public transit, local newspaper El Universal reported.

Passengers travelling in a bus by the local Metrocar company in the Caribbean coastal city of Cartagena have described their abject terror and raging fury as they realized their driver had handed over control of the wheel.

According to one passenger, the designated driver appeared to be the son of the driver.

“I took the Metrocar at the Santander Avenue and I saw a kid driving. A little while later I noticed that the bus driver was in the back with a woman. From there he yelled at the kid ‘careful with the curve!’ when taking a curve or ‘the back door!’ when he let the back door open,” the passenger told the newspaper.

The boy was driving at high-speed and braking suddenly, according to the report, and nearly crashed into a bus travelling in the opposite direction. “We shouted at him that we would all be killed,” said the passenger.

The bus company is facing dozens of complaints of angered passengers regarding anti-social and irresponsible behavior of the drivers.
