Colombian superstar Juanes used Twitter to notify fans of the split with his manager, as well as the fact that he will take a short career-break at the expense of three U.S. concerts.
In a series of Tweets Juanes first clarified that “Of course I am not retiring from music, never that. I have only decided to take a short STOP in order to dedicate time to my family and me.”
He explained that he was Tweeting his fans from the studio, where he has been making music every day, and that he needs “a moment of reflection and calm” before continuing his career.
The short break will last until July, where the Paisa-native will perform “full of energy” in Spain, although fans hoping to see him at any of the three canceled U.S. shows are set to be disappointed.
He nevertheless assured that the proposed Latin American tour will definitely go ahead.
One person missing from the future concerts will be manager Fernan Martinez, with whom Juanes announced that he has parted ways.
“It’s true that my professional relationship with Fernan finished, it’s false that I will dedicate myself to politics, that really is a joke.”
The “La Camisa Negra” star explained that he had endured “a difficult time with this album, [but] it’s false that has been the only reason. Fatigue brings consequences of all types.”
