Various Colombians have been nominated for the Latin Grammys including the famed Juanes, Shakira, Chocquibtown and Piso 21.
Juanes received the most nominations out of the Colombian stars in four different categories, followed by Chocquibtown, a Colombian hip hop group, with three nominations. Both Shakira and Piso 21 received nominations for one Grammy.
The various categories for the four Colombian nominees have been announced, with Juanes up for Song of the Year, Video of the Year, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Chocquibtown is also contending for Record and Album of the Year, as well as Best Alternative Album. Shakira’s nominee is for Best Video of the Year and Piso 21, an upcoming pop group, received a nomination for Best New Artist.
The 13th Latin Grammy Awards will air on November 15th in Las Vegas.
