Italian expatriate injured in Cartagena street fight

An Italian expatriate sustained injuries from a broken bottle during a street fight in Cartagena, reported Colombian newspaper El Universal Wednesday.

According to reports, 31-year-old Alexandro Pissiony was with a group tourists in Cartagena’s historic district, Getsemani, when an argument broke out with locals.

Pissiony required sutures after suffering neck lacerations and a wound to his right forearm. He was treated at the hospital at the University of Cartagena and has since been released.

Pissiony is a chef at a renowned restaurant in the coastal city.
