Isagen renews contract to deliver electricity to Venezuela

Colombian state-controlled power generation company Isagen SA renewed a
contract to deliver $36 million worth of electricity to Venezuela a
year, the Colombian Mines and Energy Minister said Thursday.

Isagen will deliver about 85 megawatts a day to Venezuela, Hernan Martinez told reporters.

Isagen last month said its net profit for the first half of this
year almost doubled to 231 billion Colombian pesos ($114 million).

Shares of Isagen rose 0.5% on Thursday, while the IGBC index lost 0.7%.
