Hackers take down Colombian Army website

Hackers took over several Colombian Army websites Monday and posted mocking images and phrases in protest against the October local elections, news magazine La Semana reported.

The hacker organization “Safety Last Group & ISLAM-47” hijacked the cavalry, aviation, and communications websites of the military, as well as the army’s main page.

“If this is the safety of those who protect us, do you think you are safe? These servers are much less vulnerable than the Registrar. Knowing that, are you still willing to vote?” asked the hackers.

After being hacked, the websites were taken down a few minutes later by authorities.
