Weather delays FARC hostage release operation

The helicopter due to release the final three FARC hostages was temporarily grounded on Sunday due to adverse weather conditions, reports El Tiempo.

The operation was delayed for half an hour as the helicopter had to land in Chapparol in the department of Tolima.

The mission has resumed however and is now on its way to collect Carlos Alberto Ocampo Perez, the first of three hostages to be released on Sunday.
