The FARC’s Central High Command, composed of at least 25 commanders, is the guerrilla organization’s highest political body. A smaller group of members of the Central High Command form the Secretariat, the military command of the organization.
The FARC’s military force is divided into blocs that cover designated territories. These blocs consist of fronts and columns of between 50 and 500 men.
Actual attack units can be as small as containing no more than two fighters.
