FARC attack in south Colombia kills 1, injures 3

A policeman was killed and another three were injured in an attack by Colombian guerrilla group the FARC in the south-western department of Putumayo, reported Colombian media.

According to authorities, the attack on a police patrol was carried out by the FARC’s 48th Front, close to the Ecuadorean border.

The injured officials were taken to the city of Florenica, in the department of Caqueta, where they are receiving medical treatment.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to COP20 million for information leading to the capture of those responsible for the attack.
