FARC accuse US of role in ‘Mono Jojoy’ death

The FARC on Friday accused the United States of having a part in the September bombing attack on a FARC camp that killed commander “Mono Jojoy,” reports Anncol.

The FARC-sympathetic news site reported that the guerrilla group said “the participation of the Americans played a decisive role” in the bombing that killed Mono Jojoy. The attack was carried out by Colombian security forces on September 22, with a massive air strike on a camp in the region of La Macarena in the central Colombian Meta department, 120 miles south of Bogota.

In addition to the FARC military commander, some 20 other guerrillas were killed and five members of the security forces were injured in the attack.
