Falcao hits record 5 goals for Atletico Madrid (VIDEO)

Colombia’s Radamel Falcao made history on Sunday by becoming the first Atletico Madrid soccer player to score five goals in one game.

The goal machine virtually singlehandedly destroyed a shell-shocked Deportivo La Coruña side with five goals in a 6-0 rout at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in the Spanish capital.

It was the first time a player has achieved this feat for the Madrid side and will do nothing but enhance further Falcao’s reputation as the best out and out striker on the planet.

The goal haul takes El Tigre to 16 goals for the current La Liga campaign, seven behind leader Lionel Messi – who himself was celebrating this weekend as he broke Gerd Mueller’s 40-year old record of 86 goals in a calendar year.
