President Juan Manuel Santos on Thursday complained about the poor cell phone service throughout Colombia.

The head of state took to his twitter account for the second time in four months to complain about the situation.

“My cell phone calls between the palace and the airport systematically fail at least three times. Minister, are we able to do something?” tweeted Santos.

The minster of information and communication technologies, Diego Molano, responded to the President, promising that measures will be taken.

Molano, who later in the evening presented his ministry’s annual progress report, insisted that the poor cell service was a result of illegal blockers installed throughout the country.

“We are working to remove the illegal blockers that are affecting cellular service,” explained Molano that evening.

Santos first complained about the issue in May, when the head of state tweeted “I have asked ministers to look into the desperate and poor quality cell phone service.”
