Emerald Museum opens doors

Despite the fact Colombia produces the world’s most beautiful emeralds, it never had a place to display the beauty of its stones. But times have changed with Bogotá’s International Emerald Museum.

The stones are from the collection of Alberto Sepulveda, an emerald trader who collected stones from thirty mines across the country for over thirty years.

The museum displays over 3,000 emeralds.
