Colombia’s Foreign Minister cleared of swine flu suspicions

Colombian Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez did not contract the AH1N1 or
swine flu virus, doctors in China announced. Bermudez was being tested
after President Alvaro Uribe was confirmed to have caught the new flu.

Bermudez was tested for the virus in Beijing where he had planned an official visit. He was subjected to tests after receiving news that Uribe ahd contracted the virus on a trip to Argentina where he was accompanied by his Foreign Minister.

“The Foreign Minister is doing very well and the results of the tests were negative,” an employee of the Colombian Embassy in Beijing announced.
