Colombia’s Conservative Party called on President Juan Manuel Santos for more representation in national government after the recent resignation of three party members.
“Given our representation has been falling in recent months we have asked that you look at the restructuring of the cabinet members (…),” said Conservative Party Chairman Efraim Cepeda Sarabia.
Three prominent conservative officials have resigned in recent months, including the Chief of National Planning, the director of the Colombian Institute of Rural Development and the Minister of Housing, who was replaced by former Minister of the Interior German Vargas Lleras Tuesday.
