Colombians donate $5M for disabled nationals

Colombians donated over $5 million for disabled compatriots during a 27-hour marathon on both national TV stations.

The christmas charity was supported by dozens of the country’s biggest stars who performed during the non-stop broadcast.

The “telethon” was given the official start signal Friday evening by President Juan Manuel Santos and singer Juanes and was ended Sunday morning at 2AM.

According to website conexioncolombiam the collected money will be donated to an undisclosed “foundation focused on the integrated rehabilitation of disabled children en youngsters.”
